Macros can be saved in an existing document on the PC and used in any Word file. To do this, there is the option of copying the macro into the "normal.dotm".
To do this, go to the tab "View" -> "Macros" (via the drop-down arrow) -> "Show Macros" to access the required window. In the upper area, you can choose from which storage location the macros should be displayed. Select the current document here. The existing macros should now be displayed.
Then open a new window by clicking on the button "organise". You will now see two fields facing each other, representing the different storage locations. Select the current document and the existing macro from the left-hand side. Use the "Copy" button between the two fields to assign the macro to another storage location. Here you select the "normal.dotm" and can simply copy the macro into the second window.
Now you can close all windows and access the macros stored in the "normal.dotm" from any Word file.
