Welcome,
How Can We Help You?

Activate the Bilingual Mode

With the bilingual mode you can display your texts in two different languages.

Activating the bilingual mode

Info

This feature is only available in the unlimited plan.

Open a template or a module that you want to make bilingual.
Now click on OPTIONS in the upper right corner of your template/module and tick "Bilingual mode".
Once you have checked the box, the second column of text is displayed, the source text is on the left and the translation can be inserted in the right column.

Info

If this option is not yet available, please let us know. We may still have to activate this option.

Setting the language

Under OPTIONS, you must select the template language. By default, the language of the browser is selected.

Tipp

LAWLIFT automatically inserts enumerations in the language specified here. If, for example, a placeholder is linked to a multiple-choice question, all selected answers will be listed where the placeholder was set. The word "and" appears before the last enumeration if English was selected for the language of the template. If another language is selected, the corresponding word is inserted in the selected language.

Then you have to select the second language, i.e. the language of the text in the right column. The selection button for this language is located below the field "Bilingual mode".
Select the desired language from the dropdown menu.
You now have the option of translating your text manually. Alternatively, you can also translate it automatically.

Deactivation of bilingual mode in individual headings or paragraphs

You have the option to deactivate the bilingual mode for individual headings or paragraphs. To do this, click on the three dots in the affected heading or paragraph and then on "Add/remove second column".

INFO

You can switch languages while working on bilingual templates easily. That is especially helpful, if you use the option to duplicate content from one tab to another and want to set the second languages as the first one. This allows you to create multiple different bilingual versions of your template quickly. You can find this option in your tab settings:
