Preparation

Info

This article is addressed to the person responsible for the content, i.e. the person who has the legal know-how, in order to determine under which conditions which text element should be used.

The legal logic of the document to be automated can be stored in the Word document by selecting all variables there. Before doing so, please consider our question types and the basic logic of LAWLIFT. The basic principle of automation is that an answer triggers one or more elements (text, questions, answers). You can write down the logic the way it is easiest for you.

Some write directly into the text:

Others work with hints and colours:

Others work with colour codes, hints and a legend:

Tip

You do not have to commit yourself to a colour scheme or similar. This is of course a matter of taste and the start should be as easy as possible for you. How you logically process your knowledge is up to you. You can also consider live while creating the template which question type should be used here. The person who knows the content of the template and delivers the knowledge does not necessarily have to get into the question types, but can also leave this to the template creator.

Tip

Edit your document according to the 80/20 rule. You don't need the perfect template right from the start. You can successively automate your LAWLIFT templates.

If you would like to work with Lawlift yourself, it makes sense to first consider our question types and the basic logic of LAWLIFT. The basic principle of automation in LAWLIFT is that an answer triggers one or more elements (text, questions, answers). LAWLIFT always follows the order of the texts that you have grouped one after the other under headings.

Excursus on the 4 question types

There are four types of questions that can be displayed in LAWLIFT:

Text questions allow you to set placeholders in the text. Answering a text question manually then determines which text is inserted instead of the placeholder.

Select questions specify several alternatives, of which only one can be selected. Here you can select several conditions.

Multiple (choice) questions make it possible to select several alternatives from the given answers at the same time.

By setting serial, it is possible to select how often the text elements linked to the series question are to be repeated when using the template in individual cases (including the corresponding information query by text, selection or multiple-choice questions).
