Info
You do not need to bother with a text anchor when you "Create a new layout" in the layouts section. LAWLIFT inserts a text anchor by default.
Text anchors only need to be inserted if you want to create your layout yourself and upload it under LAYOUTS, ADVANCED, UPLOAD NEW STYLES TEMPLATE (DOCX/DOCM).
Store Text Anchors in the Word Document
For LAWLIFT to recognize where the text is to be inserted in the Word document, (at least) one text anchor must be set.
Info
The text anchor is already included in the empty letterhead template that you can download from LAWLIFT.
The default text anchor looks like this:
{@TEXT}
Attention
Make sure that after the text anchor - {@TEXT} - there are no spaces or similarities! You can check this by activating the paragraph symbol in Word.
Otherwise, the export from LAWLIFT to Word will not work, and the following error will appear:
The text anchor {@TEXT} is already stored as standard in your automated templates in LAWLIFT. It is called TEXTFIELD. You can check this by going into the edit mode of a template in LAWLIFT. Click on a heading, on the three dots, and then on TEXTFIELD. Here, the standard text anchor is stored for every heading.
Multiple text anchors in a Word document
Tip
Multiple text anchors allow you to expand the display options in your template:
Important
Multiple text anchors must be identified by numbers: {@TEXT}; {@TEXT1}; {@TEXT2}.
Think about how the text should be arranged.
For example, if you want to map a heading, then a table of contents, and finally the text of the contract, you can proceed as follows:
Open the Word document:
- Insert a text anchor, which should then contain the heading of the document. This must be different from the following text anchor: e.g. {@TEXT1}.
- Insert the table of contents.
- Below the image, the standard text anchor {@TEXT} can then be used. The contract text will be inserted there.
Open LAWLIFT and the corresponding template:
For LAWLIFT to recognize where the desired text should appear, you must now store the deviating text anchor in your template. Click in the heading and on TEXT FIELD. Now add the number and click on the check mark.
