In principle, you are authenticated in LAWLIFT by sending 6-digit codes by e-mail.
With 2-factor authentication, you can store your own authentication, e.g. with the Authenticator app.
Individual
You can activate 2-factor authentication for your LAWLIFT account.
To do this, log in to the LAWLIFT app and click on your user name in the top right-hand corner. This window will open in the following.
Now click on ACTIVATE 2FA. Now scan the QR code or enter the key in a 2-factor app. Confirm the process with CONFIRM.
When a user logs in, the password is validated first before we check if 2-factor authentication has been activated or if there is an unknown device.
Global
As an admin, you also have the option to globally enable 2-factor authentication for all users in the account.
To do this, go to the ADMIN menu item. Click on ADVANCED at the bottom and activate FORCE USING 2FA DEVICE.
If the user is in the Dashboard view, the QR code view will be displayed and the user will not be able to leave it until he/she has registered the device.
If the user is not activated, after the initial password setup and admin activation, the QR screen will pop up and the user will have to register the device.
